Stable Android 10 begins rolling out to the LG V50 in Korea
Back in November, LG started an Android 10 beta program for the LG V50. This was shortly after they rolled out the same program the LG G8. The LG G8 received stable Android 10 last month, and now it’s time for the LG V50 to do the same. According to our own Max Weinbach, the Korean model just started getting the update.

After doing a little bit of digging, it looks like LG started rolling out the Android 10 update last week to LG V50 users who were enrolled in the beta. It looks like they are now sending it out to users who were not in that program. The changelog is in Korean, but from the translation, we can gather a few of the features you can expect.
- Pop-up window mode has been added.
- Full gesture navigation has been added.
- Photo mode and video mode have been separated from the camera.
- December 2019 security patches.
As mentioned, this is rolling out to the Korean LG V50 right now. LG typically starts its releases in their home country. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always mean the release is imminent for other regions. LG has been known to release updates in Korean and take several months before rolling them out worldwide. Hopefully, this update doesn’t take that long.
